Albert learns that inanimate objects can develop a real attitude if you’re not careful (100 words)

Albert discovered that the DVD box set transformed upon purchase.  It had looked so inviting on the website.  But then, once delivered, it became a reproachful extravagance that lurked on the shelf and insisted on catching his eye.  Watch me, the box nagged him, or else you are a reckless fool who understands nothing about yourself and the way your life is constructed.  So Albert watched, sipping red wine until he imagined that he genuinely wanted to sit through four episodes in a row, gradually losing track of who was who and why they were doing what they were doing.
