Albert learns something truly profound about dog photos

There was a large framed photograph of a dog above the mantelpiece.   That’s Rufus, she explained.   We had to have him put down in the end.  The smell was unbearable.  I’m so sorry, Albert said.  I’d no idea. That’s okay, she said. That’s the thing about pictures: they don’t smell.

  1. I am a cat person rather than a dog person so the tragedy of the dog being put down doesn’t affect me as much as if I were a dog person. The post seems quite funny to me or at least tragi-comic which I love as my entire blog is tragi-comic. Tragi-comedy is the utmost expression of how most of us live our lives I think.
